there was something in the air that night

i was walking around somewhere, a while ago on a day when i happened to be wearing an abba shirt. amazingly, i don't recall getting my ass beat down on the street on that particular evening. i might as well have though, because as i walked passed a sketchy looking man with an interesting, but don't-stare-at-it-for-too-long facial hair growth pattern, he felt the need to exclaim in a sarcastic tone, "abba rocks!" i may or may not have given a weak smile in reply, wanting to escape the situation in the timeliest manner possible. i also may or may not have gone home and cried into my pillow with Fernando playing in the background.

...maybe he wasn't being sarcastic?
